# How to prepare your Target data for krunchbox

## Target USA POS data can be sourced from the Greenfield portal. Your Greenfield subscription may impose limits on the data you can access. The following provides details on the required format for self-upload to krunchbox.

### **Step 1  Download your data from Target**

Data can be downloaded from the Greenfield Reporting Portal site.

 

**If you access your POS data via Target: **

- Sign in into your Target Partners Online Account in Targets Greenfield Reporting Portal.

- Navigate to the VIQ - Vendor IQ Dashboard.   
  In the Builder-edit, you will create a new report template that matches the data included in this [sample file](https://academy.krunchbox.com/hubfs/Partner%20Program%20Target%20USA%20Template.csv?hsLang=en). (You will re-use this template each time you download your Target sales data to ensure the formatting is correct.)

- Use the Report Wizard to select the 13 report columns that match the sample.  
  The sample represents a single week of data reporting results by product for every location (store).

    - Date
    - DCPI
    - TCIN
    - Item Description
    - Location number
    - Location
    - Channel - fulfilled
    - Sales U
    - Sales $
    - EOH U
    - EOH $
    - End OO U
    - End OO $
- Run and Save this report template, and download the report as a **CSV** file.

If you are uploading the data there are no file naming requirements.

If you are providing the file to krunchbox to load on your behalf, please be sure to use the naming convention (your company name)Target(date\_reference).csv for example CompanynameTarget20231208.csv where the date is YYYYMMDD

krunchbox offer data retrieval services for obtaining the data on your behalf.

Note: This file should contain a single week of sales data.

### Step 2 - Upload your Target USA data to krunchbox

- Through your krunchbox portal \> Admin \> Partner data management
- Review the accepted Target USA data template matches your Target document
- Select from the calendar the retailer week
- Upload the file

### Step 3 - View your data in krunchbox 

Dashboards is a great place to start for summaries and exceptions.

#### Trouble shooting

- Having trouble creating or loading to the specific Target USA template?  Try using the

**[Alternative load template](https://academy.krunchbox.com/hubfs/krunchbox%20Alternative%20load%20template.xlsx?hsLang=en) **which is a simplified, non-retailer specific, data template.

- If you don't have store level data, complete the Location Number field with

**TGU0000** (zeros)
