This article is the glossary of krunchbox terms and measures

Absolute: Difference between two results shown as a number

Alt Calendar: This gives users the ability to create your own calendar. An example use case is aligning your a calendar to a clients calendar to make it easier to compare time periods across multiple clients.

Another period: Information for specified time period data has been requested

Attributes: Features of the Products or Stores. Eg. Product attribute is description. Eg. Store attribute is address. Measures are the data and calculations contents of krunchbox

Average Gross Profit BP: Calculated average gross profit for base period.

Average Gross Sales $ Excl Tax BP: Average weekly gross sales dollars excluding tax for the selected base period

Average Gross Sales $ Excl Tax Var %:  Difference between two time periods, in this case for the gross sales $ excl tax, shown as a percentage.

Average Opening Stock Units BP: Calculation using each weeks opening stock in units for selected base period to get average opening stock in units.

Average RRP Inc Tax BP: Product average gross retail price including tax for base period.

Average RRP Inc Tax RP: Product average gross retail price incling tax for reference period.

Average Sales Units: A calculation giving the average weekly result within a defined time period

Average Sales Unit BP: Average sales units per week for base period

Average Sales Unit RP: Average sales units per week for reference period

Average Sales Unit Var %:  Average sales units per week variance as a percentage %. Formula is ((Base Period Average sales units - Reference Period Average sales units)/Reference Period Average sales units)*100

Average Sales Unit Var (Absolute): Average sales unit per week variance as a number. Formula is (Base Period Average sales units - Reference Period Average sales units)

Average Sell In Unit BP: Average weekly Sell-in units for the selected Base Period

Average Sell In Unit RP: Average weekly Sell-in units for the selected Reference Period

Average Sell In Unit Var (Absolute): Difference between two time periods, in this case for the sell-in units, shown as a number.

Average Sell In Unit Var %: Difference between two time periods, in this case for the sell-in units, shown as a percentage.

Average Stock On Hand Units BP: The average of each weeks closing stock on hand for the selected base period

Avg units per product: Calculation showing average units each product sells.

Avg Units per store: Calculation showing average units each store sells.

Avg Units per store per week: Calculation showing average units each store sells per week.

Avg per week: Calculation showing average per week.

Avg $ per product: Calculation showing average selling price per product.

Avg $ per store: Calculation showing average selling price per store.

Avg $ per store per week: Calculation showing average sales per store per week.

Avg $ per unit: Calculation showing average price of each unit sold year to date.

Avg $/U YTD: Calculation showing average price of each unit sold year to date.

Base Period (BP): The most recent time period when running a comparison report

Calendar: All data is assigned to a calendar week. Week results can be grouped into months and years

Category: Part of product hierarchy grouping products together

Closing Stock: Closing Stock Units. Amount of inventory in stores at the end of the period shown

Closing stock $: Closing stock represented as a $ value based on default dollars (refer definition of default dollars)

Closing stock units: Closing stock units in stores

Closing stock var to LY: Closing stock for the period selected compared to the same period the previous year

Closing stock var to previous week: Closing stock for the week selected compared to the previous week

Closing Stock in Units BP:  Stock on Hand in units on the last day of selected base period

Closing Stock in Units RP: Stock on Hand in units on the last day of selected reference period

Closing Stock Units Var %: Difference between two time periods, in this case for closing stock units shown as a percentage.

Closing Stock $ Var %: Difference between two time periods, in this case for closing stock on hand $ shown as a percentage.

Closing Stock on Hand $ BP: Stock on Hand value on the last day of selected base period

Closing Stock On Hand $ RP: Stock on Hand value on the last day of selected reference period

Closing Stock Units Var (Absolute): Difference between two time periods, in this case for closing stock units shown as a number.

Closing SOH: Closing Stock Units. Amount of inventory in stores at the end of the period shown

Count of Products: Number of products

Cost of goods sold (inc tax): Price paid by retailer for products inclusive of tax

Cost of goods sold (no tax):  Price paid by retailer for products exclusive of tax

Count of stores: Number of stores

Default Dollars: The Sales$ measure selected for your account to be viewed on dashboards and reports.

Description: Name given to a product for identification

Drill down: Shift from an overview of data to a more detailed and granular view within the same data set

First margin: Difference between sales value and purchase value shown as a percentage

First Margin BP GP%: Calculated full price margin rate for product if sold at full price for base period.

First Margin RP GP%: Calculated full price margin rate for product if sold at full price for reference period.

Fiscal Week: Week number based on financial calendar

Fiscal Year Half: Half of the financial calendar

Fiscal Year Month: Month of the financial calendar

Fiscal Year Quarter: Quarter of the financial calendar

Fiscal Year: Financial year calendar

GMROI (Gross Margin Return On Investment): A calculation measuring profitability of every dollar invested in inventory.

Gross Profit: Difference between the sales value and purchase value

Gross Profit BP GP: Calculated gross profit for base period.

Gross Profit RP GP: Calculated gross profit for reference period.

Gross Sales $ Excl Tax: A calculation showing the estimated sales $'s based on the listed sell price excluding any taxes

Gross Sales $ Incl Tax:  A calculation showing the estimated sales $'s based on the listed sell price including any taxes

Gross stock on hand excl tax: A calculation showing the estimated Stock value in $'s based on the listed sell price excluding any taxes

Gross stock on hand incl tax: A calculation showing the estimated Stock value in $'s based on the listed sell price including any taxes

Gross $ (estimated no tax):  A calculation showing the estimated sales $'s based on the listed sell price excluding any taxes

Gross $ (estimated with tax): A calculation showing the estimated sales $'s based on the listed sell price including any taxes

Half: A six month period of the year, usually aligned to a calendar

Invoiced $ (supplied no tax): The value of goods supplied, usually to retailers, excluding tax

Invoiced $ (supplied with tax): The value of goods supplied, usually to retailers, including tax

Last month: Information for the previous month for the time period data has been requested

Last year: Information for the last year for the time period data has been requested

LW Avg $/U:  Average price of each unit sold for week. Formula is (sales $ / units)

LW Units: Total units for the week (for the date selected)

LW$ Var on LY:  Variance in dollars for last week compared to the same week last year

L4Wk $:  Sales $ for the last 4 weeks from the date selected

L4Wk Units:  Total units for the last 4 weeks from date selected

LW Unit Var on LY: Variance in units from the week selected to the same week last year

LW Unit Var on previous week: Variance in units from the week selected to the previous week

L4Wk $ Var on LY: Variance in dollars for the last 4 weeks selected compared to the same 4 weeks of the previous year

LW$ Var to previous week: Variance in dollars for last week compared to the previous week

L4Wk Unit Var on LY: Variance in units for the last 4 weeks selected compared to the same 4 weeks of the previous year

LY $: Total $ for last year for the week selected based on default dollars (refer definition of default dollars)

Max: A measure used to indicate maximum stock requirement in store

Max (maximum): Desired maximum inventory level for a product in a store

Measures: Measures are the data and calculations contents of krunchbox.

Min: A measure used to indicate minimum stock requirement in store

Min (minimum): Desired minimum inventory level for a product in a store

Month: Krunchbox calendar weeks that are assigned to the krunchbox calendar month

Month And Year: Financial month and year shown together

Month Name: Full name of Month of the year

Month Number: Corresponding number for month of the year

Month Short Name: Abbreviated name for month of the year

MTD (Month To Date): Summary total of all weeks results since the start of the month

Month to date: Information for the last 4 weeks for the time period data has been requested

MTD units: Store units sold month to date

MTD var to LY: Store units sold month to date compared to month to date for the same month last year

MTD $: Sales $ for the month to date

MTD $ var to LY: Store dollars sold month to date compared to month to date for the same month last year

Net Sales $ Excl Tax: Sales $ results provided by the retailer excluding any taxes

Net Sales $ Incl Tax: Sales $ results provided by the retailer including any taxes

Optimum stock: Ideal amount of stock to have

Opening Stock Units BP:  Stock on hand on the first day of the week for the base period

Opening Stock Units Var %: Difference between two time periods, in this case for opening stock units shown as a percentage.

Opening Stock Units RP: Stock on hand on the first day of the week for the reference period

Product: Number given to a product for identification

Product Master (PM): The list of all products and their associated features, such as price, barcode, size, color, pack size, tax

Purchase Order:  A record of inventory being purchased by the supplier, not yet available for distribution to the retailer.

Quarter: A three month period of the year, usually aligned to a calendar

Ranged: A stores list of products they should have at all times.

Rank: When a list of results is sorted based on performance, the rank shows where in the list the result resides.

Recommended Retail Price (RRP): The price the supplier proposes a product should be sold for

Reference Period (RP): Time period being used as a comparison when running a report

Retailer: Name of organization selling directly to consumers

Retailer week name:  Financial week for retailer

Retailer Year: This can be found in extract module and shows the calendar year you've created

Sales To Stock Ratio: Looks at how much sales was achieved from available inventory at the start of a specified period

Sales Units: Quantity of units sold

Season: Krunchbox calendar weeks that are assigned to the krunchbox calendar season.

Sell In: The suppliers invoice quantity of goods to retailers

Sell-In Units: The suppliers invoice in units showing quantity of goods sold to retailers

Sell-In vs Sell-Out units: The variance between supplier invoicing to stores (sell-in) and store sales units (sell-out) shown as a number

Sell-In vs Sell-Out $: Sell-In vs Sell-Out $ The variance between supplier invoicing to stores (sell-in) and store sales units (sell-out) shown in dollars

Sell-In vs Sell-Out %: The variance between supplier invoicing to stores (sell-in) and store sales units (sell-out) shown as a percentage

Sell-in $ at cost: The suppliers invoice at cost showing quantity of goods sold to retailers

Sell Out: Refer Sales Units. It is the quantity if units sold by the retailer

Sell-Out Units: Amount of stock sold by retailer in units

Sell-Out $: Amount of stock sold by retailer in dollars

Sell Through: Percentage of stock sold in relation to how much stock was available

Sell-Through BP:  The percentage of stock sold for the base period.

Sell-Through RP: The percentage of stock sold for the period

Sell through TW:  Percentage of stock sold this week in relation to how much stock was available

Share:  Portion in relation to total, expressed as a percentage

Share of active products: The selected item represented as a percentage of the total range for active products

Share of closing stock: Closing stock for the selection represented as a percentage of total closing Stock

Share of Gross Sales $ Excl Tax BP:  Portion of gross sales $ excluding tax for base period for a specific item in relation to total gross sales $ excluding tax for base period, expressed as a percentage

Share of Gross Sales $ Excl Tax RP:  Portion of gross sales $ excluding tax for reference period for a specific item in relation to total gross sales $ excluding tax for reference period, expressed as a percentage

Share of Gross Sales $ Incl Tax BP: Portion of gross sales $ including tax for base period for a specific item in relation to total gross sales $ including tax for base period, expressed as a percentage

Share of Gross Sales $ Incl Tax RP:  Portion of gross sales $ including tax for reference period for a specific item in relation to total gross sales $ including tax for reference period, expressed as a percentage

Share of Gross Stock $ BP: Portion of gross stock for base period for a specific item in relation to total gross stock for base period, expressed as a percentage

Share of Gross Stock $ RP: Portion of gross stock $ for reference period for a specific item in relation to total gross stock $ for reference period, expressed as a percentage

Share of Net Sales $ Excl Tax RP: Portion of net sales $ excluding tax for reference period for a specific item in relation to total net sales $ excluding tax for base period, expressed as a percentage

Share of Net Sales $ Excl Tax BP: Portion of net sales $ excluding tax for base period for a specific item in relation to total net sales $ excluding tax for base period, expressed as a percentage

Share of range: The selected item represented as a percentage of the total range

Share of Net Sales $ Incl Tax RP: Portion of net sales $ including tax for reference period for a specific item in relation to total net sales $ including tax for base period, expressed as a percentage

Share of Sales: Portion of sales in relation to total sales, expressed as a percentage

Share of Sales BP: Portion of sales for base period for a specific item in relation to total sales for base period, expressed as a percentage

Share of Sales RP: Portion of sales for reference period for a specific item in relation to total sales for reference period, expressed as a percentage

Share of sales units: Store sales units for the selection represented as a percentage of total store sales units

Share of sales $: Sales $ for the selection represented as a percentage of total sales $

Share of $: Portion of sales dollars in relation to total sales dollars, expressed as a percentage

Share of Sell In BP: Portion of sell-in for base period for a specific item in relation to total sell-in for base period, expressed as a number

Share of Sell In RP: Portion of sell-in for reference period for a specific item in relation to total sell in for reference period, expressed as a percentage

Share of stock: Closing stock for the selection represented as a percentage of total closing Stock

Share of Stock BP: Portion of stock for base period for a specific item in relation to total stock for base period, expressed as a percentage

Share of Stock RP: Portion of stock for reference period for a specific item in relation to total stock for reference period, expressed as a percentage

Share of Wholesale $ Excl Tax BP: Portion of wholesale sales $ excluding tax for base period for a specific item in relation to total wholesale sales $ excluding tax for base period, expressed as a percentage

Share of Wholesale $ Excl Tax RP:  Portion of wholesale sales $ excluding tax for reference period for a specific item in relation to total wholesale sales $ excluding tax for reference period, expressed as a percentage

Share of YTD sales $: Sales $ year to date for the selection represented as a percentage of total sales $ year to date

Stock over goal: Store inventory that is over the goal stock level

Stock over target:  Store inventory that is over the target stock level

Stock under goal:  Store inventory that is less than the goal stock level

Stock under target: Store inventory that is less than the target stock level

Smart Average Sales Units: Average weekly sales using only weeks with sales or closing stock. Applies only to Allocator.

Stock adjustment: The change in stock between two points in time regardless of sales

Stock Adjustment BP: Unit change in stock level for base period. Formula is ((Closing stock + Sales) - Opening stock)

Stock Adjustment RP: Unit change in stock level for reference period. Formula is ((Closing stock + Sales) - Opening stock)

Stock Metrics: Data and Calculations related to stock such as how much stock is available, how much is on order

Stock in Transit: Amount of stock ordered by the retailer that is listed as on it's way to a location

Stock on Order: Amount of stock ordered by the retailer, yet to arrive

Stock On Order Units Var %: Difference between two time periods, in this case for stock on order units shown as a percentage.

Stock On Order Units Var (Absolute): Difference between two time periods, in this case for stock on order units shown as a number.

Stock On Order Units BP: Amount of stock in units on order at the end of the base period in units.

Stock On Order Units RP: Amount of stock in units on order at the end of the reference period in units.

Stock over target / Over stocks: Amount inventory over the desired stock level

Stock To Sales Ratio: Measures inventory against sales to show to show efficiency of available inventory

Stock turn: How many times a product is sold and replaced in a given time

Store: A store location within a retail group

Store ID: Numeric store identifier

Store Master (SM): The list of all stores and their features, such as location, territory, state, address

Store Name: Location store identifier, usually the name of the town the store is located in

Store Weeks Net Stock On Hand $ Ex tax: Number of weeks net stock value excluding tax in stores will last.

Store Weeks Gross Stock On Hand $ Incl tax: Number of weeks gross stock value including tax in stores will last.

Store Weeks Net Stock On Hand $ Incl tax: Number of weeks net stock value including tax in stores will last.

Store Weeks Gross Stock On Hand $ Excl tax: Number of weeks gross stock value excluding tax in stores will last.

Store Total Weeks Cover: Number of weeks total stock in stores will last.

Store Week SOH: Inventory divided by average weekly sales. It gives you a guide as to how long stock in store will last if the sales rate remains the same. If sales fluctuate each week then reviewing WSOH from a long

Stock On Order $ BP: Value of stock on order at the end of the base period.

Stock Turn BP: How many times a product is sold and replaced during the base period.

Store Weeks Stock On Order: Amount of time stock on order in units will last based on average weekly sales for selected period.

Tax: The tax portion of the Sales$ when reporting Net$ incl tax and Gross $incl tax

The last 4 Weeks: Information for the last 4 weeks for the time period data has been requested

The last 13 weeks: Information for the last 13 weeks for the time period data has been requested

The last 26 weeks: Information for the last 26 weeks for the time period data has been requested

The last 52 weeks: Information for the last 52 weeks for the time period data has been requested

The most recent week: Most current week shown for time period data has been requested

This year: Information for the current year for the time period data has been requested

Total stock: Store stock total from all closing stock on hand, stock on order and stock in transit

Total store stock: The sum of all stock available, it includes closing stock on hand, stock on order and stock in transit.

Total Store Stock Units BP: The sum of all stock available in units, it includes closing stock on hand, stock on order and stock in transit for base period

Total Store Stock Units RP: The sum of all stock available in units, it includes closing stock on hand, stock on order and stock in transit for reference period

Total Store Stock Units Var %: Difference between two time periods, in this case for total store stock units shown as a percentage.

Total Store Stock Units Var (Absolute): Difference between two time periods, in this case for total store stock units shown as a number.

Total Supply Chain Weeks Cover: Amount of time in weeks total stock units in the supply chain will last.

Total Supply Chain Stock $: Amount of time in weeks total stock units in the supply chain will last.

Total Supply Chain Stock units: Total amount of stock in units available across all locations.

Total Warehouse Stock: Total stock available in warehouse.

Unit var to LY: Variance in sales units for current period compared to previous year

Unit var to previous week: Variance in sales units for current period compared to previous week

Variance - Absolute: Difference between two results shown as a number

Variance - Percentage: Difference between two results shown as a percentage

Warehouse purchase quantity: Amount of stock being purchased for warehouse

Warehouse Purchase quantity $: Value of stock $ being purchased for warehouse

Warehouse Stock: A record of inventory held by the supplier, available for distribution to the retailer.

Warehouse Stock on Hand: Amount of stock available in warehouse

Warehouse Stock on Hand $: Value of stock in $ available in warehouse

Warehouse Stock On Order: Amount of stock on order for warehouse

Warehouse total weeks cover: Number of weeks all stock for warehouse will last.

Warehouse Weeks Stock On Hand: Number of weeks stock in warehouse will last.

Warehouse Weeks Stock On-Order: Number of weeks stock on order for warehouse will last.

Week End Date: Calendar date for the last day of the week

Week Ending name: Combination of wk number and week end date

Week number Fiscal Month: Week number of month based on financial calendar
